Soccer Game Preview: South Lake vs. Eustis

The South Lake Eagles will challenge the Eustis Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Eustis took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on South Lake, who comes in off a win.

South Lake will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Citrus on Friday. South Lake put the hurt on Citrus with a sharp 4-1 victory. Considering the Eagles have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Eustis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Forest Lake Academy, falling 4-1.

South Lake's win bumped their record up to 5-6-4. As for Eustis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-2.

South Lake took their victory against Eustis in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0. Will South Lake repeat their success, or does Eustis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
