Baseball Recap: Ledyard Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Ledyard's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Putnam Clippers by a score of 6-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Colonels as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cameron Weber was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other pitching news, Ethan Spinner looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Carson Luther was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Williams, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Ledyard's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Putnam, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Ledyard will take on Wheeler at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Putnam, they will be playing at home against Hale Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
