Football Recap: Centauri Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Centauri walked away with it. They blew past the Highland Huskies 26-0 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Centauri can attribute much of their success to Sean Jarvies, who threw for 110 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 32 yards. That's the most rushing yards Jarvies has posted since back in September of 2024. Carson Shawcroft made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Centauri, bringing their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.9 points on average over those games. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Centauri will host Buena Vista at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Falcons 10.9, the Demons 9.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
