Football Game Preview: Matanzas Pirates vs. Pine Ridge Panthers

The Matanzas Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Pine Ridge Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Matanzas' offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against New Smyrna Beach on Wednesday. They lost 25-0 to the Barracudas.

Matanzas dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As for Pine Ridge, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the wrong side of .500 (6-8), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year.

Matanzas ended up a good deal behind Pine Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, losing 19-0. Can Matanzas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
