Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tohatchi). Everything went their way against the Northwest Falcons on Thursday as they made off with a 19-1 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Thurmond Bitsie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Amir Woodie was a standout: he got on base in five of his nine plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Titus Francisco was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Tohatchi kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Tohatchi's record now sits at 11-6. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tohatchi beat the Falcons by a score of 10-2 later that day.
