Softball Recap: Staples-Motley Cardinals vs. Perham Yellowjackets

Staples-Motley couldn't beat Perham on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Cardinals fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 8-7. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Rachel Kossan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Izzy Becker, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Staples-Motley's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Perham, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
