It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Broncos challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Davenport is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Ocoee by a score of 13-8 on Thursday. Considering the Broncos' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Bishop, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Luis Escalera, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Davenport kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Wekiva got the win against Jones on Thursday by a conclusive 24-9. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Fightin' Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Brady Reinert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reinert was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 4-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Wekiva's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Darelle Martinez was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Enrique Polanco, who scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Davenport's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4. As for Wekiva, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4.
