Volleyball Recap: Maumee's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Maumee waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Fostoria Redmen as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

While Maumee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.

Bryanna Lankey paced Maumee's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lankey got some help from Brooke Kwiatkowski and her 23 assists. Kwiatkowski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Maumee's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fostoria, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Maumee is set to face off against their familiar foe Genoa Area at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fostoria will take on rival Otsego at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
