Football Recap: Hardin Northern Comes Up Short

Hardin Northern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the North Baltimore Tigers, falling 48-8. The Polar Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Hunter Ewing threw for 87 yards on seven of 16 attempts. Kyler Sedlock was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards. On the ground, Blayne Kindle rushed for 32 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Baltimore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Walter, who rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Long, who threw for 262 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 passes.

Hardin Northern's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Baltimore, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hardin Northern didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Cory-Rawson on the 5th. As for North Baltimore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 47-6 win against Elgin on the 5th.
