Basketball Recap: Woodsville Takes a Loss

If Woodsville was riding high fresh off their 53-13 takedown of Profile last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Woodsville Engineers took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Groveton Eagles. The Engineers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Woodsville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Groveton, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodsville will welcome Pittsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Groveton, they will challenge Littleton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Groveton is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Littleton a eight-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
