Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Jordan

There's no place like home for Jordan, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past the Chapel Hill Tigers 12-4 on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Specht, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Lucia Terruso also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Jordan lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Jordan's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Chapel Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan will square off against East Chapel Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chapel Hill, they will take on Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside-Durham will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Chapel Hill surely won't give up without a fight.
