Softball Recap: Ogilvie Lions vs. Rush City Tigers

Ogilvie extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-8 in the process. They lost 9-3 to the Rush City Tigers. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Rush City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Rush City, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Rush City's part, Lola Mold was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles Mold has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailyn Glenna, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ogilvie will head out to square off against Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rush City, they will head out on the road to take on Proctor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
