Basketball Recap: Colton Kincade's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Jefferson over West Liberty-Salem

West Jefferson lost against West Liberty-Salem back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Jefferson Roughriders took a 38-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Liberty-Salem Tigers. The game marked the Roughriders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

West Jefferson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Kincade, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Logan Hart, who had no points and three blocks.

West Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for West Liberty-Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

West Jefferson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-47 defeat against Southeastern Local on the 21st. West Liberty-Salem has also already played their next game, a 76-50 loss against River Valley on the 20th.
