Basketball Preview: Tenoroc Titans vs. McKeel Academy Wildcats
Tenoroc is 0-10 against the Wildcats since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tenoroc Titans will face off against the McKeel Academy Wildcats at TBD. Tenoroc has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Tenoroc scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 56-22 win over Hardee. That looming 56-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Tenoroc yet this season.
Meanwhile, McKeel Academy pushed their score all the way to 65 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Lake Gibson by a score of 68-65. McKeel Academy's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Alex Sessoms put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 32 points along with six assists and three steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Jonsson, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Tenoroc's win ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-18. As for McKeel Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
Tenoroc took a serious blow against the Wildcats in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 58-24. Can Tenoroc avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
