Softball Preview: Edon Bombers vs. Hicksville Aces
The Edon Bombers will head out on the road to challenge the Hicksville Aces at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Edon will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
Edon fell victim to Hilltop and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 12-0 walloping at the hands of the Cadets. The contest marked that first time this season in which Edon was not able to get on the board.
Edon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Wofford, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, it was close, but in Saturday's second game Hicksville sidestepped Delta for a 7-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hicksville.
Ciannah Keeley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Keeley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
