The Omaha Central Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Millard North Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millard North took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Omaha Central, who comes in off a win.

Omaha Central took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Papillion-LaVista with points to spare, taking the game 34-17.

Omaha Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Tory Pittman Iii picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last three games he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Millard North suffered their closest loss since October 18, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Kearney by a score of 31-28. The close matchup was extra heartbreaking for the Mustangs, who almost overcame a 21 point deficit.

Omaha Central will need to focus on slowing down Isaiah Traylor, one of several Millard North players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 103 yards and one score. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Leggett, who threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Omaha Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Millard North, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5.

Omaha Central skirted past Millard North 13-10 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
