Volleyball Game Preview: MAST Academy Makos vs. Norland Vikings

The MAST Academy Makos are taking a road trip to take on the Norland Vikings at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, MAST Academy turned things around against Carol City on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Norland made easy work of Somerset Academy Central Miramar on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-16.

MAST Academy better focus on containing Neashown Fenelon and Nyheim Roberts as the pair were huge in Norland's win. Fenelon had seven digs and three aces, while Roberts had ten kills.

Norland's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for MAST Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

MAST Academy couldn't quite get it done against Norland when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can MAST Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
