Baseball Game Preview: Indianola Academy Colonels vs. Marshall Academy Patriots

For the second straight game, Indianola Academy will face off against Marshall Academy. The Colonels will be playing at home against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Indianola Academy has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while Marshall Academy will come in with six straight wins.

Indianola Academy came up short against Marshall Academy on Tuesday, falling 9-1.

For Marshall Academy's part, Cohen Lundine looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Lundine posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hayden Lundine, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Gage Todd was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Marshall Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Indianola Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
