Independence has gone 8-2 against East Mecklenburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Mecklenburg came up short against Sun Valley on Wednesday, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for East Mecklenburg in their meetings with Sun Valley: they've now lost six in a row.

East Mecklenburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Independence couldn't quite get it done against East Mecklenburg when the teams last played back in March as they fell 4-2. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
