Two dominant backs in Rico Smith and Devin Bates are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Brookfield Warriors will square off against the Garfield G-Men at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brookfield will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Brookfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Newton Falls to the tune of 52-20 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Garfield entered their contest against Crestview on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The G-Men came up short against the Rebels, falling 42-20. The game marked the G-Men's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although Garfield took the loss, they still got scores from Bates, Colton Miller, and Ryder Cain.

Brookfield now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Garfield, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.

Brookfield took a serious blow against Garfield when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 41-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bates, who rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.
