Baseball Game Preview: Amber-Pocasset Panthers vs. Verden Tigers

Amber-Pocasset is a perfect 6-0 against Verden since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Amber-Pocasset is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Amber-Pocasset had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Atoka on Thursday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Wampus Cats. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Verden unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against Union City, falling 10-2.

Amber-Pocasset's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Verden, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Everything went Amber-Pocasset's way against Verden when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Amber-Pocasset made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
