Hayden Brooks turned in nothing short of a gem on Thursday, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his sixth in a row with more than five strikeouts. For the year, he has an ERA of 2.53 over 36 innings pitched.

Brooks' effort led Hilton Head Christian Academy over John Paul II and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
