Softball Recap: Pace Academy Knights vs. Midtown Knights        
        
		
             Pace Academy came tearing into  Monday's  contest with 12 straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by  a  15-3 margin over the Midtown Knights. The result was nothing new for Pace Academy, who have now won 17 matchups by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
  Megan Wrigley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Kate Grice was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  triples. What's more,  she also racked up four  hits, the mostshe's  had since back in September of 2023. Another player making a difference was  Amelit Hall, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pace Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .519. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .318 or higher in 12 consecutive  matches.
 Pace Academy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 15 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record  this season. As for Midtown, their loss  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 13-3.
 Pace Academy and Mays are set to duel  on Tuesday. Pace Academy is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Midtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
