Volleyball Recap: Patton Starts Season with Win on the Road

Patton had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Freedom Patriots 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

While Patton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Freedom scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.

Hannah Huggins paced Patton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Huggins got some help from Emma Griffin and her 15 assists. Griffin also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Leah Clark, racking up four apiece.

Patton will welcome South Caldwell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Freedom, they will challenge Hibriten at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
