Basketball Recap: Hardin-Central's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After flying high against Southwest last Tuesday, Hardin-Central came back down to earth. The match between the Hardin-Central Bulldogs and the Carrollton Trojans didn't end well, with the Hardin-Central Bulldogs falling 41-24. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Hardin-Central still got an impressive performance from Zoey Polk, who posted six points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Polk is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played.

With the defeat, Hardin-Central broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Carrollton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Hardin-Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Sweet Springs on the 12th. As for Carrollton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-65 defeat against Hoover on the 14th.
