Basketball Recap: Tiospaye Topa Comes Up Short

Tiospaye Topa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 46-39 to the McLaughlin Mustangs. The match was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Thunderhawks couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Tiospaye Topa still got an impressive performance from Jacolby Rousseau, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. What's more, Rousseau posted three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Steven Garnett, who earned six points and five steals.

Tiospaye Topa's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for McLaughlin, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.

Tiospaye Topa has already played their next game, a 68-63 defeat against Oelrichs on the 22nd. As for McLaughlin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-50 victory against North Central on the 22nd.
