Westwood won the last time they faced Lugoff-Elgin and things went their way on Friday too. The Redhawks snuck past the Demons with a 34-28 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redhawks.

Jovan Howard had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 78 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Despite the loss, Lugoff-Elgin still got an impressive performance from Zach Williams, who rushed for 68 yards and three scores, and also threw for 257 yards and one touchdown. The Demons also got a significant boost from Jar'Kese Grant, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 95 yards.

Westwood's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Westwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-7 defeat against West Florence on the 24th. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 21-14 win against Spring Valley on the 24th.
