Baseball Recap: Living Word Lutheran Takes a Loss

Living Word Lutheran dropped their record down to 6-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 9-1 to the University School of Milwaukee Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Timberwolves couldn't push the score so high this time.

Gavin LaPerriere made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

As for University School of Milwaukee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for University School of Milwaukee, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

On University School of Milwaukee's side, Brock Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Will Reese, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Andy Werner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
