Baseball Recap: Danbury Comes Up Short

Danbury was the 3-2 winner over Brookfield when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hatters fell 6-1 to the Bobcats on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Hatters have lost by exactly five runs.

Giani Chieffalo was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. That one earned run gave him a new career-low.

Danbury now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Danbury will challenge St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brookfield, they will take on Holy Cross at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
