Preview: Adams County Christian Academy vs. Red Lion Christian Swordsmen
After both having extra time off, Adams County Christian Academy and the Red Lion Christian Swordsmen will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Back in December of 2023, Adams County Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 61-7 loss at the hands of Carlisle Christian Academy. Adams County Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-3.
Meanwhile, Red Lion Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap back in January as they fell 54-50 to Carlisle Christian Academy.
Despite their loss, Red Lion Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Landon Burns`, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. It was the first time this season that Burns` scored 15 or more points. Ruben De Los Santos was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Adams County Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Red Lion Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Adams County Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 62-13 loss at the hands of Red Lion Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Adams County Christian Academy was down 32-5.
