Preview: Carolina International Comets vs. Apprentice Academy Red Wolves
Carolina International is 6-0 against Apprentice Academy since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Carolina International Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Apprentice Academy Red Wolves at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carolina International has three straight victories, Apprentice Academy has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Piedmont Community Charter scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, Carolina International still came out on top. Carolina International secured a 71-66 W over Piedmont Community Charter.
Carolina International got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Roy Quick out in front who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Davis, who scored 17 points.
Apprentice Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2023 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Valor Preparatory Academy 82-30. Apprentice Academy has not had much luck with Valor Preparatory Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Carolina International's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Apprentice Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
