Basketball Recap: West Bladen Starts Season with Win on the Road

West Bladen had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the East Columbus Gators 68-32 on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-19.

West Bladen had a senior duo take command as Jackson Pait posted 23 points and Tylik McCall scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Adams-Peterson, who had 11 points.

Despite the loss, East Columbus had strong showings from Kevon Stackhouse, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 10 points and eight boards, and Adrion Jenrette, who earned six points.

Coming up, West Bladen will take on West Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Columbus, they will challenge South Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
