Basketball Game Preview: Greeley West Spartans vs. Poudre Impalas

Greeley West hasn't had much luck against Poudre recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Greeley West Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Poudre Impalas at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Greeley West is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They came out on top against Brighton by a score of 41-31 on Tuesday.

Among those leading the charge was Valeria Calzada, who posted eight points in addition to six steals and five boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three). Paige Rupple was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Poudre came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over Fort Collins on Tuesday.

Greeley West's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Poudre, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
