Soccer Game Preview: North Port vs. Lemon Bay

The North Port Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the Lemon Bay Manta Rays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

North Port will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Tuesday, then bounced right back against Neumann on Wednesday. Everything went North Port's way against Neumann as North Port made off with a 9-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bobcats' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Lemon Bay and Charlotte finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Lemon Bay's draw makes their record 4-8-3 this season. As for North Port, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.

North Port came out on top in a nail-biter against Lemon Bay in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Port since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
