Hoggard proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Ashley Screaming Eagle. Winning may never get old, but Hoggard sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.

Jace Tucker and Ari Tanner scored both of Hoggard's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Hoggard's victory bumped their record up to 13-1-1. As for Ashley, they moved to 10-3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hoggard is set to face off against their familiar foe West Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ashley will challenge rival Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
