Basketball Game Preview: Greenwich Country Day Tigers vs. King Vikings

The Greenwich Country Day Tigers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the King Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

King is hoping to do what St. Luke's couldn't back in December of 2024: put an end to Greenwich Country Day's winning streak (dating back to last season), which now stands at five games. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Greenwich Country Day made off with a 69-68 win over St. Luke's.

Meanwhile, King had just enough and edged Canterbury School out 72-69 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

King's win came from a few key players Greenwich Country Day will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aj Trimboli, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 20 points and five assists. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Trimboli, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points.
