Baseball Game Preview: Mattituck Tuckers vs. Port Jefferson Royals

For the second straight game, Mattituck will face off against Port Jefferson. The Tuckers will square off against the Royals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mattituck has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 10.

On Tuesday, Mattituck didn't have quite enough to beat Port Jefferson and fell 4-2.

Ben Voegel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.

The victory snapped Port Jefferson's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-13 record. As for Mattituck, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.
