Soccer Game Preview: Priory vs. King's Academy

The Priory Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the King's Academy Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Priory will be strutting in after a win while King's Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Priory proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past San Mateo 3-2. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Priory were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, King's Academy came up short against Menlo School on Wednesday and fell 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for King's Academy in their meetings with Menlo School: they've now lost three in a row.

Priory has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six matches. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Priory came out on top in a nail-biter against King's Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
