Savannah Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Savannah Country Day Hornets by a score of 2-0. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Savannah Christian easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-9.

Savannah Christian found their leader in sophomore Carinne Cason, who had seven digs and six assists.

Savannah Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Savannah Country Day only served three aces.

Addison Stubbs and Olivia Aliotta certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Stubbs had nine digs, while Aliotta had 12 digs and six kills. Aliotta is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Savannah Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Savannah Country Day, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.

Savannah Christian has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bluffton on the 13th. As for Savannah Country Day, they will take on Southeast Bulloch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
