Softball Game Preview: Lamesa Tornadoes vs. Compass Academy

The Lamesa Tornadoes are taking a road trip to take on Compass Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Saturday, Lamesa came up short against Denver City and fell 8-5.

Meanwhile, Compass Academy fell victim to Coahoma and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 17-0 to the Bulldogs. Compass Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lamesa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Compass Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Lamesa took their victory against Compass Academy in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 19-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lamesa since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
