Yuma had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Olathe Pirates with a sharp 10-0 win on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Outlaws sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jesus Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Thomson, who earned one RBI, one run, and three stolen bases.

Yuma pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Olathe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Yuma didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Monte Vista on the 17th. Olathe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
