Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Canyon's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Foothill came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Canyon, but Brandon Benjamin wouldn't allow it. The Canyon Comanches came out on top against the Foothill Knights by a score of 73-65 on Tuesday thanks in part to Benjamin, who went 11 of 24 en route to 36 points and eight rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Canyon's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Cutler, who posted nine points and eight boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season. As for Foothill, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.

Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Foothill: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
