Basketball Recap: Groom Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. The Groom Tigers took a hard 63-47 fall against the McLean Tigers. While losing is never fun, Groom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1288th, while McLean is ranked 404th).

McLean's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hailo Moon, who posted 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasidy Russell, who had 21 points.

Groom has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for McLean, their win was their 12th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4.

Groom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McLean, they have already played their next match, a 50-46 victory against Motley County on the 7th.
