Basketball Recap: Harrisville Comes Up Short

Harrisville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Lisbon Central Golden Knights at home by a 58-44 margin on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-41 last Monday.

When it comes to explaining why Harrisville lost, don't look at Joe Shepherd. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Liam Winters was another key player, putting up eight points.

Harrisville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Lisbon Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrisville will take on Hermon-DeKalb Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrisville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season. As for Lisbon Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Massena at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
