Carter has gone a perfect 4-0 against Sequoyah recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Carter Green Hornets will welcome the Sequoyah Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. Sequoyah took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Carter, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Carter needed a bit of extra time to put away Union County. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 5-1.

Kingston Griph was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trey Painter, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Cardwell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Sequoyah kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against McMinn Central, falling 22-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Carter's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sequoyah, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Carter took their victory against Sequoyah in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 10-3. Will Carter repeat their success, or does Sequoyah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
