Basketball Recap: Burrillville Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Burrillville Broncos had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Prout Crusaders. The matchup marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Prout found their leader in sophomore Sophia Hipsman, who went 6 for 11 en route to 15 points and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Lauren Gill, who posted six points and five steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Burrillville and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for Prout, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Burrillville will host Davies Career & Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Prout, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-26 victory against Coventry on the 1st.
