Basketball Recap: Crisfield Comes Up Short

Crisfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-40 loss at the hands of the Wicomico Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crabbers of the 71-51 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Crisfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wicomico, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Crisfield will take on Mardela in a holiday battle at on Thursday. One thing working in Mardela's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Wicomico, they will head out on the road to face off against Pocomoke at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wicomico knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Pocomoke likes a good challenge.
