Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Sullivan

Sullivan came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Vincennes Rivet Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Golden Arrows have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

While Sullivan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-15.

Sullivan was led to victory by Jaylen Mccammon and Kendal Hardin. Mccammon had six aces and five digs, while Hardin had three digs. That's the most aces Mccammon has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good server: Sullivan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matches.

Sullivan's record is now 13-3. As for Vincennes Rivet, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sullivan will take on Parke Heritage at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vincennes Rivet, they will welcome Pike Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
