Basketball Game Preview: Stanley County Buffalos vs. Lyman Raiders

Stanley County is 2-8 against Lyman since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Stanley County Buffalos will challenge the Lyman Raiders at 8:00 p.m. Stanley County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lyman likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Stanley County didn't have too much trouble with Little Wound as they won 62-44.

Lyman has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 67-54 to Kadoka on Friday.

Stanley County's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Lyman, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

Stanley County strolled past Lyman in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 63-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stanley County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
