Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Crenshaw

Crenshaw waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured an 18-13 W against the Bernstein Dragons.

Crenshaw had a senior duo take command as Ahmani Bell rushed for 122 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries and Mikenzie Adams rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards.

Crenshaw was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

One reason for the win was Crenshaw's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Rashi Avery-Smith and Adams, who racked up all five sacks between them.

Crenshaw's win bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Bernstein, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Crenshaw will face off against Fremont at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the Pathfinders at the right time seeing as the Pathfinders are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Bernstein, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-8 victory against Fairfax on the 17th.
